NORMAN ROTHMAN

A close associate of Trafficante, it is Rothman who is given the delicate mission by Lansky of establishing contact with the revolutionaries to forge a path for negotiation and collaboration. His wife, Olga Chaviano, will often accompany him to these rendezvous.  The scandals Rothman and Olga continually find themselves embroiled in, and the press coverage they generate, provide an endless headache for Lansky, but it is her connections to both the locals and the Americans that lead Lansky to enlist their help with Castro and the revolutionaries.
